MUUR for iOS — Privacy Policy

Data collection and sharing

MUUR does not transmit personal information, device identifiers, usage activity, audio, presets or settings to Another Machines. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not send app data to advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.

Another Machines does not receive, sell or share personal data collected by the MUUR app, because the app does not perform that collection.

Audio processing and ADAPT

MUUR processes the audio supplied by a compatible DAW or AUv3 host. It does not directly access your microphone or search your device for audio files.

When you use ADAPT, MUUR holds a short section of audio in memory to analyze the source and evaluate a treatment. This analysis takes place entirely on the device. The audio is not uploaded or saved as an audio recording by MUUR. Working audio buffers remain in memory while the effect instance is loaded and are released when that instance is destroyed.

Your host controls audio input, recording, playback and project management. Any permissions or data handling performed by the host are governed by that host's privacy policy.

Local presets, favorites and session state

MUUR stores User presets and favorites locally to restore your sounds and preferences. Preset documents contain sound settings and preset information, such as the name you give a preset; they do not contain audio recordings.

Your host can save MUUR's settings within a project or session. MUUR does not independently synchronize presets or session data to an Another Machines account or cloud service.

File import and export

Preset import and export occur only when you start the action and choose a document or destination through the iOS or iPadOS file picker. MUUR accesses the selected document for that operation and its own local preset storage. It does not scan unrelated personal files.

If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may transfer the selected document according to its own settings and privacy policy. Exported presets and host projects remain under your control and the control of the provider you choose; MUUR does not send them to Another Machines.

Device permissions

MUUR does not request access to your microphone, camera, photo library, location, contacts or health data. It does not request Bluetooth, local-network or app-tracking permission.

A compatible audio host or a file provider may request permissions for its own features. Those requests are separate from MUUR.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Another Machines maintains no server-side MUUR account, audio library or personal-data record created by the app.

You can delete User presets in MUUR's preset browser and remove favorites using their star controls. Saved host states, exported documents and backups can be deleted through the host, Files or the relevant storage provider. Other local app data can be managed through iOS or iPadOS app-storage controls. Removing a local copy does not remove copies you have exported, saved in a host project or retained in a backup.

ADAPT audio is held only in working memory, not in a saved recording. Unloading the effect instance releases that working memory. There is no remote MUUR audio copy to request from Another Machines.

You can choose not to import or export documents. No account, tracking permission or consent to remote app-data collection is required to use the effect.

Apple services

Apple operates App Store downloads, purchases, TestFlight and optional Apple diagnostics under Apple's privacy policy. MUUR does not add a separate collection or upload service to those systems.

Support and external links

Documentation, support and privacy links open outside the effect. Website activity and services you choose to use outside MUUR are separate from the app's on-device processing.

If you contact Another Machines, we receive the email address, message and any files you choose to send. That information is used to respond to your request; it is not collected automatically by MUUR. Email communications also pass through the email services used by you and Another Machines. Changes to this policy

If MUUR's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated to reflect those changes. The revision date appears at the top of this page.
