Installation, hosts, troubleshooting and contact for EOLIA on macOS, iPhone and iPad.
Install on macOS
Open the EOLIA disk image and run Install EOLIA.pkg. It installs the Audio Unit and VST3 plug-ins for all users. Restart your host and rescan plug-ins if it does not find EOLIA automatically.
- VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/EOLIA.vst3 (or ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3)
- Audio Unit: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EOLIA.component (or ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components)
- User presets: ~/Library/Application Support/Another Machines/EOLIA/Presets
To remove EOLIA, run Uninstall EOLIA.command from the disk image. Your user presets are kept.
Install on iPhone and iPad
Install EOLIA from the App Store and open your AUv3 host. EOLIA appears in the list of Audio Unit extensions under Another Machines. In AUM, tap an insert slot of an audio channel, choose Audio Unit Extensions, then Another Machines → EOLIA.
Troubleshooting
EOLIA does not appear in Logic Pro or GarageBand on the Mac.
Quit the host, then open Terminal and run killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar to refresh the Audio Unit cache. Reopen the host; Logic Pro rescans in the Plug-in Manager.
EOLIA does not appear in Ableton Live.
In Live's Settings → Plug-Ins, make sure VST3 or Audio Units are enabled, then press Rescan.
EOLIA does not appear in my iOS host.
Open the EOLIA app once after installing it, then restart the host. Some hosts keep a cached list of extensions until they are relaunched.
I hear no reverb.
Check MIX (0 % is fully dry), the OUT trim on the output meter, and that FREEZE is not holding the space. Double-click the OUT meter to reset it to 0 dB.
The EOLIA app is silent.
The app plays live input only through headphones, Bluetooth audio or an audio interface, to prevent feedback through the built-in speaker. Allow microphone access in Settings → EOLIA.
3D sounds strange on speakers.
3D is binaural and designed for headphones. On speakers, use IMMERSIVE, which renders the same room for any playback system.
How do I lower CPU or GPU use?
Open Settings and choose MEDIUM or LOW visual quality, or close the plug-in window: the sound does not depend on the visuals. Engines differ slightly in CPU use; MEMORY, FIELD, MATTER and DUST are the lightest.
Will GENESIS change between bounces?
No. GENESIS follows the song position and its seed, so every bounce reproduces the same movement.
