EOLIA Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
EOLIA is developed and published by Another Machines. This policy applies to EOLIA for macOS (Audio Unit and VST3 plug-ins), to the EOLIA app for iPhone and iPad, and to its AUv3 Audio Effect.
Data collection and sharing
EOLIA does not transmit personal information, device identifiers, usage activity, audio, presets or settings to Another Machines or to anyone else. It does not track you across apps or websites and contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services.
Because EOLIA does not collect personal data, Another Machines does not receive, sell or share any personal data from the app or the plug-ins.
Audio processing, Smart Listen, GENESIS and DUST
EOLIA processes the audio supplied by your digital audio workstation, AUv3 host or, in the EOLIA app, by your selected audio input. All processing happens in real time on your device.
When you use Smart Listen, EOLIA holds a few seconds of the incoming audio in memory to recognise the source and suggest a space. GENESIS analyses the level and character of the audio to shape its spatial choreography, and the DUST engine keeps the last eight seconds of audio in memory to create its grain cloud. This audio is never written to disk, uploaded or kept after the plug-in instance or app is closed.
Your host controls recording, playback and project management. Any permissions or data handling performed by your host are governed by that host's own privacy policy.
Microphone (EOLIA app for iPhone and iPad)
Inside a host, EOLIA processes only the audio the host provides and never requests microphone access.
The standalone EOLIA app can use the microphone or a connected audio input to play live sound through the reverb. iOS and iPadOS ask for your permission the first time. The input is processed only while headphones, Bluetooth audio, a USB audio interface or a line output is connected, so it cannot feed back through the device's own speaker. Nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted, and you can withdraw microphone access at any time in Settings.
Presets, settings and session state
User presets and preferences (such as visual quality and interface size) are stored locally on your device. Preset files contain sound settings and the name you give them; they do not contain audio.
Your host saves EOLIA's state, including a drawn GENESIS path, inside your projects. EOLIA does not synchronise presets, settings or projects to an Another Machines account or cloud service.
Device permissions
Apart from the microphone permission requested by the standalone EOLIA app, EOLIA does not request access to your camera, photos, location, contacts, motion sensors, health data, Bluetooth, local network or app tracking. The 3D mode uses binaural processing and does not use head tracking or motion data.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Another Machines keeps no server-side EOLIA account, audio library or personal-data record created by EOLIA.
You can delete user presets in EOLIA's preset browser. On macOS they are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Another Machines/EOLIA/Presets. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app removes its local data. Host projects and backups are managed by your host and your storage provider.
Apple services
Apple operates App Store downloads, purchases, TestFlight and optional Apple diagnostics under Apple's Privacy Policy. EOLIA does not add its own collection to those services.
Children
EOLIA is a general-audience music tool. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal data.
Support, links and correspondence
Links to this policy, support and documentation open outside EOLIA. Websites and services you choose to visit are governed by their own policies.
If you contact Another Machines, we receive the email address, message and any files you choose to send. We use them only to answer your request and keep them no longer than needed for that purpose.
Changes to this policy
If EOLIA's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
